Bremont ALT1-ZT GMT Chronograph Replica Review: A Watch to Admire

Certain watch enthusiasts can’t imagine a watch GMT Function. Perhaps, this complication is the most favorite among all existent complications. Due to their practical usefulness and versatility, I dare to say that GMT chronographs are hard to beat when it comes to functionality.

One of the brands making great work in terms of GMTs is Bremont, about which we have talked too little in our blog. It’s my bad that I kind of missed this brand from the sight, being fully absorbed by Rolexes and Omegas. The truth is that our store didn’t have Bremont replicas available in stock for a while. Our manufacturer decided to take some time and perform certain improvements in its aesthetics. So, the great news is that we have received some Bremont replicas and decided to make a review about them, as I started to miss them.

Generally speaking, Bremont has pretty good expertise in producing tough and highly “toolish” pieces, including a couple of decent GMT Chronographs. Most of them feature a military-inspired design, making them precious for the daily active lifestyle. Here I am looking at some of BREMONT replicas, and here is what I have to say about them.

Alt1-ZT GMT Chronograph replica watch

Back in time, the original model first appeared in 2007. Similar to other homologs of the Alt1 ZULU line-up, the chronograph uses a 43mm case of stainless steel. Looking at the replica in my hands, I see a hard case and an upper bezel and lugs segment. In addition, I can spot a black alluvium middle barrel and a solid steel case back. Visually, I find the watch quite generous. Its’ thickness is 16,4mm and its lug-to-lug index is 50mm.

I must say that this time, manufacturers have greatly imitated the weight and all dimensions. Some years ago, our Bremont replicas had a weight deviation of -4g, and the thickness was significantly different from the genuine model. Now, I do see the improvements they promised.

Additional Specifications

If you are familiar with the older ALT1-Z models, you will find that the ZT-1 is identical in functions. The design approach is what makes the difference between the two categories. The older model, if you recall, featured expressive military accents and bold Arabic numerals. In contrast, the Alt1-ZT GMT Chrono feels more subtle and “calmer”. The dial is black matte with crisp white markers, and the applied trapezoidal markers are significantly smaller.

Don’t worry about legibility. Even though the dial seems “full”, all the details have their logic, making the watch easily readable and smooth-looking. Remember the ALT 1-WT? It was far more detail-oriented. With the ALT 1-ZT, the brand has definitely opted for a lower-profile aesthetic. Either way, I like it. It’s clean, clear, legible, and subtle. In addition, I feel an expressive casual vibe in it, forgetting about its’ sporty purpose.

Display and luminosity

On one hand, the replica’s legibility is fine. On the other hand, I’m a bit reticent about its lume. In fact, it looks pretty white under the spotlight and has a pleasant blue glow under reduced light. However, it doesn’t look as bright as the C3 SuperLuminova green glow. So, in this aspect, I think manufacturers could invest a little more effort. Either way, the result is not bad, in fact.

On the other hand, I admire the large time display in this watch, which meets all the requirements of a sporty timepiece. You can see on it a full 12-hour chronograph, as well as a 24-hour GMT set independently. In the same context, a buttery smooth Roto-click crown controls the internal bezel from the left side. Each half-position produces a click each time when you rotate the crown. This action requires a little pressure, but, on the whole, it is smooth and progressive, even somehow satisfying.

Strap

The watch comes with a smooth and soft leather strap. I like how the clasp looks; it comes in the form of a dual-side deployant push button. Many customers have asked if the strap can be interchangeable with a NATO strap, for instance. Yes, it can, and the watch instantly becomes, even more, casual and sportier.

Speaking about feelings, I must say that I find this imitation lying pretty comfortable on my wrist. The 43mm case fits me greatly; though, it might look too large on small wrists. So, consider your shirt size in case you plan to have this Bremont.

Overall conclusion

I like the work replica manufacturers made with this imitation. Subjectively speaking, I resonate with this model. But, you have to know that I’m a “practical” type of watch enthusiast, focused predominantly on functionality and wearability. If you are the “romantic” type, you can also consider the ALT1-ZT/51 imitation. In terms of functionality and layout, it is highly similar to the ZT but has a more romantic look and stronger vintage elements.

The authentic models are available at around 6,000$ in the market. I find the price pretty attractive for a chronograph running on the in-house 7750 movements. Alternatively, if you want to begin with a replica version first, consider the AAAReplica store as a trusted source.
