My recent vacation in Venice brought me back extremely inspired and energized. This is because I had the opportunity to meet an authentic Rolex boutique right in the heart of Venice. I also met a Panerai boutique, which I wrote about in the previous article. I was very lucky to feel the original Panerai watches on my wrist and to have a very pleasant conversation with the store assistant.
With the Rolex boutique, I had less luck. It was already closed when I came across it, and I had nothing left but to contemplate some exclusive models through the over-protected window. I think I stayed at the window for about 15 minutes until my friends called me several times. I couldn’t take my eyes off the models on display. The model that captivated me the most was Carbon Fiber Rolex. It stood gracefully and sternly next to a Murano glass stone, which accentuated its strength and stern character. As in the case of Panerai, I photographed every detail of this watch with my brain and I returned home more inspired than ever.

I was curious to see how close the Submariner Carbon replica watch is to the truth. The first thing I notice in it is its outlook and special finish. Certainly, this replica watch looks different from previous replica Rolexes. Among the aspects that immediately catch my attention is also the matte finish of both the bracelet and the case. It is somehow unexpected to see a completely matte replica. However, the original watch looks the same, abundant in matte texture.
Moreover, the carbon fiber bezel perfectly harmonizes with the matte motif of the entire construction. The dial of the replica watch is nothing more than a compliment that respects the color scheme of the bezel and bracelet. So, the first conclusion I can make regarding this Submariner replica is that its aesthetic appearance is its strongest selling point. At first glance, I see in the imitation exactly what I saw in the boutique window: a strong construction, severe character, and an attention-grabbing color scheme. The only thing missing is the spotlight 🙂
Proportions and Materials
The more I look at this replica watch, the more attractive I find it. I have to admit that its matte finish has a fairly special effect. This finish adds an aristocratic and noble air to this watch. If the manufacturers were to reproduce it by adding polished surfaces, I think that the replica watch would have fallen out of favor.
I believe the proportions of this replica watch are to the liking of the majority. It is about a diameter of 40.5mm, which, I think, is a universal proportion. Even women are fans of these proportions, not to mention the dynamic vibe of the watch.
What makes me happy is that the manufacturers reproduced the height of the watch accurately. The imitation has a thickness of 13mm, just like the authentic model. If they were to make a mistake with the height, the manufacturers would receive a severe reprimand, because the watch is already quite tall.

Another admirable aspect of this knockoff is the composition of the materials. Their quality amazed me. We are talking here about 904l stainless steel for the bracelet and watch case, anti-scratch sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, as well as authentic carbon fiber for the bezel. By the way, the dial also contains authentic carbon fiber in its composition. Among other things, this imitation is the first in the Submariner line to benefit from a carbon dial. And I must admit that the execution is at the highest level. I had seen a Richard Mille knockoff with a carbon dial before. But the texture and appearance are very different in this Submariner. And the difference is positive.
Movement and Water Resistance
I don’t have much to tell you about the movement of this replica watch, except the fact that it works on a 3235 clone movement. Considering the price of the imitation, I assume it’s an Asian clone because Swiss clones cost much more. But, don’t be scared by the word “Asian”. These mechanisms never cease to amaze me lately. They perform for a long time and have an extremely low rate of damage. Clearly, everything depends on the functions of the watch; the more functions, the more movement resistance is requested. But if we’re talking about this Date Submariner, I don’t see why the mechanism wouldn’t cope.
As for the water resistance profile, I know you expect me to tell you that the imitation is as water-resistant as the genuine watch. But, I will disappoint you. The knockoff is resistant up to 30 meters. And don’t forget that water resistance is merely a guide and not a confirmed fact. I always urge replica watch lovers to avoid contact with water, no matter how waterproof the knockoff is. This is because the factories do not give assurances that the watch will withstand the pressure. It’s Russian Roulette every time. So, either you keep the watch away from contact with water, or you test it under pressure with the help of a specialist in the field.
