When I was about to finish it, one of my teammates asked me „oh, are you writing about the best-selling AP?” That was when it dawned on me that I hadn’t talked much about the best-selling AP replica models. And I know that you guys want to know it all. I recently talked about the long list of 2022 best-sellers. But, I incidentally omitted to draw conclusions about the AUDEMARS PIGUET in particular. So, here I am, willing to correct my mistake.
Which was the best-selling AP replica in 2022?
Actually, the question has multiple answers. And I’ll probably begin by talking about the „rocky” model. I don’t know why exactly people were seeking this model; was it because of its design or its „self-defense” properties? It might sound strange to those who don’t know this watch. But, the truth is that the watch is significantly heavier than most other watches. Therefore, it can be easily used to protect yourself against attacks. Enough with making allusions, let’s get straight to the point.
Royal Oak 26470 PT replica watch
If you are somewhat familiar with the Royal Oak watch family, you probably could intuit that the heavy replica that I’m talking about actually refers to the 26470PT Royal Oak genuine model. By the way, the genuine version of this watch is also pretty heavy, one of the heaviest from the whole line, in fact. So, the generous weight of the imitation is not a factory error, it is rather because of the massive construction the watch has as a case. In this context, I shall remind you once again that the factory we are partnering with is a great expert in making AP imitations specifically. Not boasting here, just telling the truth.

The replica version runs on a clone 3126 mechanism. The look of the auto rotor and movement plate decorations look accurate and highly close to the original 3126 AUDEMARS PIGUET movement. Still, there is one thing you should consider with this type of replica movement; most probably, you will have to wind the watch frequently, even up to a couple of times a day. This is related to the fact that the self-winding efficiency of this mechanism is not as high as with other movements. Though, if it’s not a problem for you to keep your watch wound several times a day, it will provide a pretty decent time accuracy. In the same context, I suggest you do not overuse the chronograph function unless you want to cause movement issues.
On the whole, this replica watch movement is resistant enough, but a bit capricious. You need to have patience with it, and more than that: a caring attitude. Now knowing the pros and the cons of this AP imitation, I can conclude that customers must have probably opted for this model due to its aesthetic condition. Many of you might think that all customers seek technical reliability. Though, not always, as it turned out. This speaks about the fact that a certain group of watch enthusiasts buys imitations for a short-term period, until the mechanism runs off, just to satisfy their curiosity about having the model on the wrist.
Royal Oak Diver 15720
This is the second best-selling AP replica watch. At least, according to the 2022 statistics. The truth is that this model was pretty popular a couple of years ago. During the last year, in 2021, the demand for it has dramatically dropped down. But, with the release of the latest iteration, interest in it has risen again. Thus, it’s the second-best-selling AP ROO imitation.
The line is available in 4 colors: blue, green, black, and grey. All of them look great, to be honest. But, apart from the dial, what makes these imitations beautiful is their 4308 clone movement. I’m glad to see this movement in these replicas as I know a lot about their stability and long serviceability. Ok, they are not as reliable as the 4308 super clones, but still, their work is quite promising.
The 316 stainless steel is solid and similar to the previous model, and the brushed finish is alluring.
The ceramic bezel is black and comes with vertical brushing on the front. In contrast, the edges of the ceramic bezel are mirror polished.
Another great selling point of this imitation is the accurate reproduction of the case angles. We have to admit that this watch’s case is not the easiest to imitate, considering its angular edges. Though, I applaud the factory’s job, which replicated the intricate case construction perfectly.
Dial
As for the dial, I must say that I resonate more with the 15710 model, in terms of style. But, it’s only my subjective insight. In addition, in terms of luminescence in dark conditions, this one, the 15720 is significantly more powerful. It seems that the factory didn’t cut down some additional lume material.
To sum up
Honestly speaking, the diver model seems more promising to me. Even though I’m not the number one fan of diver watches, this Royal Oak 15720 attracts me more than the 26470PT version. Maybe because it’s the quality that I predominantly look for in replica watches. And the diver has a bit more reliable movement, apart from the fabulous look. But, as far as it seems, the audience has another vision, placing the 26470PT on the top of AP preferences. I suppose it’s all about the loud and bold look of the latter that made it the public’s favorite one. Either way, Royal Oak is always a great choice, even if people don’t always buy it to keep it long.
