Military Style: Bell And Ross Replica Watches

Today, I’m going to take a closer look at a couple of Bell and Ross replica watches. Honestly speaking, Bell and Ross is not my number one choice when it comes to daily timepieces. They are just not my style, as I prefer something more classic and closer to traditional. Either way, quality is my number one priority and I’m curious to see how well these imitations are done. If you are a “military” watch enthusiast, join me in this review to see if there is something suitable for you.

So, the first that I’ve spotted in the following imitations is the strong military vibe. Let’s see what else we can find in them.

Bell and Ross overview

In fact, according to my quick statistics, Bell and Ross are not the watches of choice of watch lovers when it comes to replica timepieces. And I really can’t understand why. Ok, for what concerns me, I don’t have any watch of that kind. All my watches mostly refer to the elegant style. Now, my question is for those who do like square cases and they still opt for other brands, ignoring Bell and Ross. If considering the historical background, this brand is not inferior in expertise and experience. In terms of prices, it’s not more expensive in comparison to other brands. So, why then the demand for this brand is so scarce?

I think it’s because of the specific design vision. After all, every watch brand targets a certain segment of customers. Bell and Ross’s brand makes watches like no other. They are different, non-conventional, and specific. Therefore, its audience has the same characteristics, only that it’s far more reduced in quantity in comparison to the general audience.

Either way, the military spirit of Bell and Ross watches seems nice to me. And I intend to discover more about these imitations.

Bell and Ross BR03-92 Replica Watch (other sources)

I took two Bell and Ross imitations for my analysis. Both are identical from the same line and model, only one of them comes from the AAAReplica store, whereas the other comes from another seller. I wanted to look at this watch not only from the “general replica” perspective, but to compare different dealers as well.

The two of them have close similarities: the same 42 mm case, the same weight, and thickness. More than that, all these characteristics coincide with the genuine watch. In addition, both of them feature a camo-style dial. The first difference between them is that one comes out of stainless steel, whereas the other has an all-black PVD outlook.

The PVD black version looks great to me. I like how the black 4 screws integrate into the whole view and also fix compactly the watch case. I feel the case is pretty solid and tight. Also, I’m surprised to see how readable the dial is, even though it features an irregular camouflage design.

Further on…

All the hour markers come in a stronger black font in comparison to the case black. Hour markers are different in size; the 3,6,9, and 12, respectively, are more generous in size, and the rest of them are less expressive. And I find it logical. If all the hour markers were of the same big size, the dial would look “too much”.

Between the 4 and 5-hour markers, there is a tiny round date window. In my humble opinion, it’s too tiny, considering the whole view that suggests generous dimensions. But, I must say that it is readable enough, as the window is placed on the white area of the dial, so it is pretty visible.

Unfortunately, I can’t say much about the visibility in the dark. I usually check the replica watches in dark conditions to see how bright their lume is. But, this time, I simply forgot, so beg your pardon.

Another aspect I should mention is the way the replica watch feels on my wrist. Honestly speaking, I find it smooth and comfortable. I like how soft the nylon material feels, despite its rough texture. In addition, the band preserves the “camouflage” pattern of the dial, featuring black contour stitching.

Technical aspects

The caseback of the watch is solid, so it’s impossible to see internal movement. But, as far as I found out from the dealer that sold me the replica, it runs on a Japanese Miyota 9015 movement. While there are different opinions about this movement, the three imitations I own running on 9015 didn’t let me down during the 4 years I’ve been wearing them.

Conclusion

This military replica that I bought from a stranger dealer is a medium-quality one. In terms of resemblance with the genuine model, the job is pretty well done. In terms of overall quality- it’s a moderate replica. Either way, it can be a great option for those who seek that specific camouflage design. It’s pretty hard to find such a specific design in the replica industry, so this one could be an option.

Replica Bell and Ross BR03-92 Watch (AAAReplica source)

The second Bell and Ross replica watch comes from the AAAReplica store. As I mentioned before, it’s also a military-style timepiece with some design differences from the previous model. This specific model refers to the Green Camo watch, suggesting its camouflage pattern.

The basic color of the dial is silver gray, so it looks somehow brighter than the previous version. To highlight the camouflage pattern, the manufacturer uses a chaotic combination between black and green, all integrated into a Sandwiched dial structure. Similar to the previous version, the 4 major hour markers are represented by expressive Arabic numerals, whereas the rest of the numerals come in the baton-shape form.

The date window looks more expressive because of the color play. The white window background is clearly visible on the black area of the dial. Therefore, despite the small diameter, the date window visibly jumps out.

Technical specifics

This timepiece houses a 9015 Miyota movement, just like the previous one. It didn’t surprise me, as this movement is preferred by many replica manufacturers due to its serviceability and low rate of damage.

The case is manufactured with 316l stainless steel and exposes two types of polish. The frontal side and the case face are well-brushed, while the corners of the case and the edges come with a smooth polish. On the caseback, you can get familiar with some information about the watch, as the manufacturer engraved there some details about the water resistance capacity and a few words about the brand.

As expected with a stainless steel case watch, it comes with a leather strap. Honestly, I fell in love with this strap as it features an “old-look” texture. I find this combination of vintage strap and camouflage dial design highly congruent. The leather band has a specific color, something between gray, brown, and black. In addition, the strap features accurate hand stitching of a gray color.

Conclusion

Objectively speaking, the stainless steel version. Is far more to my liking. While the first model has a sportier vibe, the steel looks more “mature”. In addition, its quality outranks the first version. Technically, there isn’t much difference between them, as they both run on the same type of movement. But, aesthetically, the stainless steel version is somehow more charismatic.

Either way, both are good choices to complete any vintage/camouflage style. The model is up to you and your tastes.
