My love for this watch makes me very pedantic about the quality of imitations. I hardly accept any flaw, no matter how small. At the same time, I am very attentive to all the improvements or shortcomings of the new release. In this sense, I got the new Nautilus and I will leave a detailed review about it now.
The New Nautilus 5811G Replica Watch
I don’t need to talk too much about the popularity of the Nautilus 5711 replica watches. They are the number one choice of both those who buy a replica for the first time and those who love the Nautilus line as much as I do. It doesn’t bother me at all to buy a new imitation because the factories keep making them better and better.

Moreover, this watch was launched by the factory that made the best Nautilus 5711 imitations. As such, my expectations for the new 5811G are quite high. For your record, I will be as objective as possible. Even if I love these watches like crazy, I won’t hide the truth from you and I will inform you about everything you need to know about the new 5811G replica watch.
Specific Features of The New 5811G Nautilus
First of all, this watch comes in a slightly larger case than the previous Nautilus 5711. It is about a diameter of 41mm which is slightly larger than the previous 40mm. On the whole, I find this difference a positive one as more and more enthusiasts are looking for bigger watch cases lately.
Generally speaking, the new Nautilus looks and feels pretty good. I notice its solid construction that fits well on the wrist. In addition, I feel the finish is very refined, just like in the previous Nautilus models.
However, the first thing that catches my eye is the inappropriate dial. It doesn’t match the dial of the genuine 5811G model, and this is the first, and probably the most serious flaw in it. Don’t get me wrong. The architecture of the dial is quite good and qualitative. However, the manufacturers did not adapt it according to the authentic model. They rather used the same dial that they used to assemble the Nautilus-uli 5711. This means that its color is not correct. The genuine 5811G model has a blue dial. But the color of the replica model is something between blue and gray, which is closer to the dial of the Nautilus 5711. An uninitiated person will not notice this difference at first glance. But being a keen connoisseur of the Nautilus collection, I notice the divergences even in the dark.
Differences Between The Replica And Genuine 5811G
Frankly speaking, I don’t understand why the factory didn’t adapt the color of the dial. The chromatic tone of the 5811G watch is very easy to obtain. I think that in this release, the factory prioritized other aspects besides the dial, leaving its improvement for the next releases.
Matter of fact, there is another difference that you need to know. It’s about the weight of this watch. When I first put it on my wrist, I didn’t feel the difference from the first one. But when I compared it with the genuine one, I noticed that the imitation is more lightweight. However, this should not stress you too much. The genuine 5811G watch contains a lot of white gold in it. That makes it a priori harder than the replica version. I accept this difference because any gold watch will be heavier than a stainless steel one. So, while the difference is quite noticeable, this flaw can be forgiven because of the different materials.

Another aspect that makes me reticent is the mechanism in this replica watch. The factory labeled it as being a super clone PP 330 movement. This can be seen on the movement plate where the factory engraved the inscription “330”. But I have certain doubts in this regard. I have the impression that the factory engraved an inappropriate inscription and the movement is actually a PP 324 clone. What makes me think so is the fact that 5711 replica watches also run on a PP324 movement. So, just as the factory did not change much in the construction of the case, taking it from the 5711 models, this makes me believe that the movement also remained the same, only with a different inscription.
As proof of that, PP330 mechanisms usually allow the second hand to stop when adjusting the time. But in the 5811G watch, it did not stop when I tried to adjust the time. This makes it very similar to the operation mode of the 324 movement. On the whole, this movement is not bad at all. I have several Nautilus running on this type and I am very satisfied with it. So, it wouldn’t be a major problem if the factory had engraved the true mechanism type on it. Either way, I assume that the goal of the manufacturers was the perfect resemblance to an authentic mechanism, which is why the inscription suggests a PP330-type mechanism.
New 5811G replica Watch Advantages
It’s not all about the cons of this watch. You probably made a bad impression about it with so many shortcomings. But, let me tell you that apart from these 3 divergences, the imitation has plenty of strong selling points. As I mentioned before, the finish of the new Nautilus deserves all the appreciation. The factory that produced it is a real expert in this regard. All the previous Nautilus it released have a superior finish. It covers both the casing and the bracelet even in hard-to-reach areas.
Another aspect that delights me is the clasp of the replica watch. It has a smooth and refined architecture, hard to differentiate it from that of an authentic watch.
The manufacturer was very attentive to the details and made it thin but durable. It closes and opens easily without much hassle. Once you fix it on your wrist, it stays intact without the risk of unlocking.
The crown of the watch is also very smooth. When you adjust the time or date, it winds flawlessly without suggesting internal imperfections. The external structure of the crown is very delicate with an even finish and very refined uniform teeth.
Bottom Line
Is buying this Nautilus a good idea? Well, this imitation has both advantages and disadvantages. Few replica watches are perfect from all perspectives. So, this one being imperfect, it’s not a novelty. Still, its flaws are too obvious in my opinion. As a rule, I can accept flaws in a replica watch when they are not extremely visible. However, this Nautilus has a much too incorrect dial that immediately suggests that it is an imitation. In my opinion, the concept of a replica watch is to be as close as possible to the authentic truth.
In this sense, the new 5811G replica watch is not the worst I have seen in the industry. However, I am sure that there is room for better. Personally, I will wait for a new release in which I hope the manufacturers will solve the problem of the dial color difference. If they solve this issue, the rest of the shortcomings are forgivable. For now, I recommend not rushing with this Nautilus. You need to have a little patience until the next release. I have already sent my feedback to the factory that produced it. So, the manufacturers are already aware of what improvements we expect from them. The new release will take place soon and I hope to see an improved version of the dial.
