Zenith Type 20 Extra Special Bronze Replica Watch Review and Some Alternatives To It

Watchmaking factories undergo an ongoing development process. They always tend to improve their abilities in building new features, creating new designs, and elevating their overall watch profiles. One of the latest tendencies refers to the usage of new materials. In this context, we could bring Hublot as a perfect example. This brand knows like no other how to integrate unimaginable materials into watch constructions when no other brand doesn’t even dream about it. However, this article is not about Hublot today. It is more about watch materials that haven’t been used in the watch industry lately.

Still, modern watchmaking factories seem to return to them. One such material is bronze. In the last half a decade, we have rarely seen bronze watches. But, with the constant ambition to bring something new into the industry, brands like Panerai, Tudor, and Zenith seem to redefine the value of bronze in watches. So, let me please review some of the bronze timepieces we have available in our store. In case any of them sound interesting to you, let me know and I’ll share all the additional details with you.

The first bronze model to talk about…

The first one to talk about is going to be a Zenith replica watch. We rarely receive Zenith imitations, actually. I don’t know the exact reason for that, but I think it’s a big mistake. So, the first to go under the spotlight is the Zenith Type 20 Extra Special Bronze imitation. The truth is that we have just received this imitation in our store as this very model has been released by replica factories for the first time. So, it’s highly unlikely to find this main model on other websites, since we are the first to receive them from our replica factory partners.

What makes this model special is that all of its construction is made of bronze. That particularly refers to the bezel, case, lugs, and crown. The whole view looks pretty generous and gorgeous, I shall say. And that’s because not only the watch comes with an imposing bronze aspect, but also is pretty large, featuring 45mm proportions. And let me tell you that these 45mm don’t even include the crown. In consequence, this timepiece is more than suitable for watch enthusiasts loving expressive accessories on their wrists, while those who prefer something more modest, can go to this link to find less massive examples.

Additional Specifications

In my modest opinion, I think this model is a pretty specific one and not any watches enthusiast will consider it as a potential choice. I particularly refer to its overall charisma. On one hand, it looks expressive and pretty “loud” on the wrist, due to its large elements like the dial, hour markers, and hands. Also, the bronze material has something attractive in it. But, on the other hand, there are IWC and Tudor bronze models that somewhat shadow the Zenith beauty. So, it’s all about competition here. You know, from two identical timepieces, the audience will opt for the one whose brand name is more resounding. This does not particularly mean that Zenith is an inferior brand. But, the truth is that Tudor and IWC are far more popular, eclipsing the hidden beauty of Zenith.

Back to our muttons…

The Zenith imitation comes with a bright luminous material of the hour markers. I applaud the manufacturers’ work with the luminous coating, as the watch is super visible and readable in the dark. The coating emits a green light which looks fabulous in combination with the bronze watch tone.

Another attractive element for me is the brown leather band of this imitation. I think that brown is undoubtedly the right choice for this watch as it creates a perfect chromatic harmony with the watch’s bronze tone. The buckle of the leather strap is made of stainless steel and that’s the element I dislike the most in this watch. To me, it would be much more reasonable to preserve the “bronze air” over the strap as well. So, a bronze buckle would fit far more greatly. I can’t say that the stainless steel one doesn’t fit the whole picture, but it just looks a bit “out of context”.

Technical details

This version of Zenith comes with a 2824 Asian ETA Clone movement. So, it’s a “middle-class” movement that won’t give you much headache. These movements aren’t the best ones in our store, but they “behave” pretty decently and don’t require frequent servicing.

If my opinion means something to you, here is my conclusion about this replica timepiece:

-I like its bronze tone and expressive dial. Also, I like how the brown leather strap complements the watch case;

-I like the price of the imitation. It totally justifies its physical and aesthetic condition. It’s not excluded that soon, this imitation will appear in other stores at a higher price. My advice is to NOT pay for it more because it’s not worth it. The price we have here is more than enough for what this watch represents;

-I like the lime coating. I wish all our replica watches looked like this one in the dark.

On the other hand, here is what frustrates me about this imitation:

-the stainless steel buckle is “ripped from the context”. It’s not a critical design error, but for me, as a pedantic person, matters a lot;

-the size is too much for me. That’s highly subjective feedback because it strictly refers to my personal preferences. I never wear such big timepieces as my wrist is pretty small for them and I just don’t feel comfortable. Still, it might be a good solution for those who embrace large watches.

Bronze replica alternatives

I’d like to share some other bronze models from our store with you so that you have a wider understanding of bronze watches in general. I always say that everything is known in comparison and a person can’t conclude much about a thing unless he compares it to another thing. So, the first model to compare with the previous Zenith is going to be a Tudor bronze imitation. To be more specific, it will be a Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze “Boutique Edition” replica model.

Tudor Bronze “Boutique Edition” replica watch

The first thing to say about this imitation is that it’s an AAA imitation. This means that its quality is higher than the Zenith one. In consequence, the price is also a little bit higher. But, don’t jump to concussions, and let’s see what this imitation brings to the table.

The watch is fully bronze, including the clasp. That’s the first thing I’ve spotted in it and I must say that already comforts me. The whole watch construction features a “tasty” tone reminding me of chocolate, cognac, champagne, and similar delights. The dial couples with the bezel, sharing the same dark-tone bronze, while the hour markers, crown, and bracelet feature a brighter bronze hue. I must say that the bronze finish on both the case and bracelet is professionally manufactured; I could spot no traits of homogeneity errors.

Another selling point of this bronze beauty is its proportions. Unlike the generous Zenith, this bronze alternative features a modest 39mm case, making it just perfect on my wrist. You know, I put on all the replica watches we receive; it’s important for me to not only look at them but also wear them for a while, to see how it feels and what perception I get from them.

Well, after a couple of hours of fooling around with this imitation, I must praise the comfortable feeling it generates. It feels fitting greatly, the bracelet is neither heavy nor too light and balances well with the overall weight of the case. In one single word: enjoyable.

Additional Specifications

The great news about this imitation is that our manufacturers give us the possibility to opt for a 100 m water-resistant version. It’s been a while since we didn’t receive such great news about our reps, as most of them are water-resistant to 50 meters. So, in case this model ”is blinking” to you, let us know if you need a water-resistant version. We can handle it. If it is to compare the pros and the cons of the Tudor Bronze with the previous Zenith Bronze, here is what I can say about it:

-The chromatics of the Tudor Bronze is more intense. That delicious combination of the different fonts of the brown is simply amazing;

-the polishing of the case and bracelet makes the watch looks more “luxurious” and sophisticated;

-the whole construction features the same bronze material (style referring to the buckle here);

-Amazing water resistance profile (upon request, please!!!)

The shortcoming of this imitation is subjective: high price. For some watch lovers, this is not a disadvantage, whereas others aren’t ready to pay for the required 450$. At least for me, the higher price than the Zenith version is not a problem. I would better pay more to get a high-quality watch rather than save some money and get a worse timepiece.

If referring mainly to these two models, I’m not suggesting that the Zenith is much inferior. It is just specific. And even if the Tudor looks more sophisticated, some watch enthusiasts might already be tired of the traditional round case and metallic bracelet. In such circumstances, the Zenith is a better solution because it comes with a different approach: an expressive dial and a leather vintage strap. So, the Zenith is optimal for those who seek a drop of vintage in their watches.

IWC Pilot Spitfire Chronograph Bronze Green Dial Replica Watch

And the last one to compare the Zenith bronze with is the IWC Pilot Spitfire Chronograph (IW387902). We received this model one week ago. And to be honest, the first thing that came to my mind was that this model was going to be the best-selling bronze watch, in comparison to the other two. Why? Because it’s an IWC and it’s always selling like hotcakes. Still, let’s see what we have got this time.

One of the advantages of this imitation is its movement. I’m talking out the Swiss ETA 7750 automatic system, beating at a rate of 28,800 BPH. Sounds pretty promising, for the beginning. I don’t know about you, but I never had bad experiences with this movement. Always accurate, long-lasting, and not capricious at all in terms of service.

Since we are talking about a chronograph here, I already can intuit your concern: how many complications are actually functional in this imitation? Well, all of them, matter-of-factly. Hours, seconds, minutes, chronograph, and day-date all work smoothly, at least that’s what the imitation showed during the weeks of testing.

Additional Specifications

In comparison to the previous bronze models, this IWC Bronze is somewhat in between in terms of proportions. It is less large than the Zenith and a bit larger than the Tudor, which means it is 43mm in diameter. For me, as a non-lover of big watches, this size is the maximum I can accept in a watch. After the testing period, I can say that once in a while, the watch size made itself felt. I don’t know exactly how to describe the feeling but in comparison, the Tudor was almost “invisible” to me, in terms of feelings. In contrast, the IWC generated a sort of “here I am, dude” feeling once in a while.

Aesthetically, the IWC is also somewhere between the Tudor bronze and the Zenith bronze. It is less formal than the Tudor imitation, and at the same time, a bit more attractive than the Zenith. The replica watch comes with a vibrant, yet calm, green dial with Arabic numerals. By the way, the font of numerals comforts me much more than the Zenith font. The Zenith’s version features more strict and severe numerals, while the IWC’s have a slenderer silhouette, suggesting a more “romantic” charisma.

Further on…

Both the case and the bezel come in bronze. Here, I don’t have much to comment on, as all three bronze watches have a similar bronze texture. Comparing the leather strap, the Zenith one is a bit softer than the IWC’s one. Also, I think that the sealing of the strap is a bit more accurate on Zenith. The dial is the most intricate and the most beautiful of all the three bronze options. The basic plate of the dial is clean, while the sub-dials feature a smooth circular pattern, providing a specific appeal. Still, this is a pretty subjective opinion. Some watch enthusiasts might like the Zenith fully-clean dial more.

In terms of prices, the IWC bronze option is the most expensive one. But, don’t forget that we are talking about a Swiss imitation and a more resounding brand here. Just like in the case of Tudor and Zenith, I truly think that the price justifies the quality of this watch.

Bottom line

So, here you have three bronze options, in case you want to add a “bronze” accent to your watch collection. Every one of them is likely to comfort a certain segment of watch enthusiasts. If an affordable price is the number one priority then the Zenith Bronze is the most optimal option. For those who seek a modestly-proportioned watch, Tudor Bronze is just right here to meet the demands. And, last but not least, the IWC Bronze version is for those who are hungry for a chronograph with classic accents and the highest quality.
